Keys to Get Started

The Kentucky Family Child Care Network is a state-funded non-profit organization that is designed to ensure that as in-home child care providers have the support that you need to be successful business owners and provide the children and families that you serve the foundation to have what they need to be successful in school and in life.

Kentucky law indicates that anyone offering care for more than three unrelated children in their home is to be regulated by the state by either becoming a registered provider, a Certified Family Child Care provider, or a Licensed Family Child Care Provider.

The Family Child Care Network of Kentucky is comprised of an experienced and devoted group of Family Child Care Specialists who have been selected to visit and work with you in your home (place of business).  Our Specialists will be there to support you and offer one-on-one technical assistance.
